Bored and Tired

I need a new computer

Yes, since I got here I have been telling my husband to buy a new computer. But he was hesitant because his old desktop still works great, it's just that sometimes if you want to watch movies or videos online. It keeps freezing and super slow to the max. Nowadays, we have to be more practical since we know about the world's economy crisis. Save..Save..Save as much as we can, used those thing that we could still use as works good.

Maybe I am just too impatience because I have been wanting to watch movies or video clips online and I just can't do it. Hopefully from the money that I save, I will be able to have extra in order to buy my own laptop. I can't wait for that.

I’m still on shocked

Even if I have watched the whole new about Michael Jackson’s sudden death last night, I am still on shocked when I woke up this morning thinking that the World’s King of POP is already gone.

I could still believe that everything is for real. I just hope this is just one big nightmare to everyone. I bet everyone is sobbing over the lost of one’s great legend in the music industry.

For some reason, I could not stopped thinking about what happened. It is because I like Michael Jackson ever since I was a small child. His songs were so nice and really touched your heart once you listened to it.

He has a voice of an angel that sings your soul to heal. In every music he created is really not just for himself but for everyone. People just want him to understand and know who he is before judging him.

May he rest in peace, and hopefully that his 3 kids will also remember him forever as well as for all who judge him and love him.

Hubby still looking for good plumber

That is right, since the renovating of the second floor is still on going. One of the other things my husband is still looking forward is to fix the plumbing. He is not doing all the world by himself but got a hand with one of his friend who knows more about carpentry and a little bit of plumbing. Sobbing over Micheal Jackson's Death

We all know and heard the breaking news about World's King of Pop Michael Jackson passed away on June 25th of 2009. It was really a shocked news when I entered Applebees for dinner with hubby. It was a sudden death, but if its his time to go we can do nothing about it.

May Michael Jackson's memory will remain and stays alive. I'm really sobbing here since I really like his songs and him as a singer.

My Dried Fish arrives

I mentioned that I'm craving for a dried fish and couldn't even stop talking nor thinking about it. Until, I purchase online thru a very reliable website. Message me and I will give you the website. After three days of waiting, a postman knocked our door this afternoon, just a perfect timing for my lunch. It was my dried fish in the box. My Fedex Shipment Notification

Okay, earlier I posted about me craving for a Dried Fish. Which I couldn't find in our local store here. I went online and browse hoping to see a good Fil-Am website where I could find a dried fish. Craving for Dried Fish

It is very difficult when you live in a totally different world, not your own country. Because you'll crave something that is extraordinary to the place and less than 50% chance if you could actually find a food or things you want to buy or crave for.

After 1 year of not eating my favorite Pinoy dish which is dried fish, I starts to crave like really bad. I went online to check through the online Phil-Am store and voolah! I finally found Danggit and Sapsap. Without any hesitation, I purchase 5 of each and it took me to pay over $40.45 plus the shipping and handling of 9.26. Hahahaha, I just I don't care how much it would cost me as long as I'll be able to finally eat dried fish.

If only it is not that difficult for my family to ship dried fish from Philippines through here. I will keep asking them to ship me and definitely pay for everything.

Now, I need to wait for maybe a week before my purchase to arrive. And I just can't wait to eat dried fish...

Walkathon

That's one of my friend call when you walk every day towards work. I mentioned that I walk towards work and I enjoyed it because I could see the world before I will be able to be trapped into a four walls in the office. After 5 Months

I finally got my Resident Card in the mail last Saturday. I'm glad that I finally have it in my own hands, that way I won't keep thinking and waiting for like every single day in the mail to come it. I am very happy and excited and kept it always in my pocket for it was advice to bring this card with me all the time. To identify from the authority that I am legally working and a resident in this Country.

Now, I finally got a rest for a least 2 years dealing from the Immigration. I can't wait for the next step in order to process it immediately and then apply for a Dual Citizenship and petition my parents. For them to see the other side of the world just like what happened to me.

My Collection

Sometimes perfumes are very expensive and even if it. Perfume is one of my collection since way back in Philippines and that didn't stopped me when I move here in the USA. While waiting for a friend to pick me up one sunny day. Out from nowhere I found this little creature crawling so fast in our driveway. I was fascinated by the speed it has, as if it was chase by something else. It is Mr. Wormy, I captured a great shot through my cell phone, but Mr. Wormy just move so fast. Festival Noise

Crazy Crossing

Almost one year for me here in the US, I have experience the crazy crossing just this week. You would believe and I must share these with you in order to let out this experience out in my chest. Okay, I do mention that I walk towards work. One of the things I adhere the most is crossing the street, even when I was still in Philippines.

Moreover, I was on the busiest intersection part of the street. And if I keep waiting for the signs of WALK appear, I’ll definitely be late. Although the WALK signs were already flashed yet it was only like 1 minute. And all this cars crossing, now the DON’T WALK sign appears and the street is clear, I RAN to cross the street and I don’t care, but I was really scared after realizing that a HUGE truck is approaching during that time.

The good thing is that, I wasn’t late for work and the bad thing is that I look awful during that time. I cross the street which makes me look like some kind of ****. Hoping that would be that last thing I’ll be doing, I do feel awkward afterwards.

Gloomy Week day

Pretty much that is the weather we have for the rest of the week days. It is not fun especially for me because I walk to go to work. And the only fear that I can think off aside from crossing the street. Is by chance that I'll get wet from a splash that reckless driver can do.

This would be my final work for the week, and hopefully that it won't be pouring outside while I'm walking. I mean, I can wait until it pours so heavy once I am in the building and doing my job. So, we pretty much have a gloomy and crappy weather for this week. Hopefully it won't be like this next week.

What's In for the Summer?

Soon enough it will be Summer season for the children here in the US. No classes and no waking up early to get ready to school. That means it is also time for the children to go to a summer camps, which they love the most.

That is the usual time that parents send their children to join summer camp, in order to have so much fun during the summer vacation. Glad that it was also exercise here to give independence to the kids, which helps them improve their self esteem.

Our little Bible Bearer

When you see kids walking down the aisle by themselves, it looks funny and super cute right? So, that’s what happened to one my super cuties nephew Andrei. This event was still the same as what I mentioned in my past entry “HE’S THE RING BEARER”. Confident enough was expected again on this 2 years old kiddo. Turns out to be NOT…

Again, my brother [the father] walked down the aisle with him just to start the Wedding Ceremony. I can’t wait to see what it looks like on the video. Yup, still eagerly waiting for the taped event of the Wedding and I’m super excited.

Anyhow, Andrei and Harvey were siblings. They adorable and cute and sweet, so I’m sure it’s worth it that they just got shy to walk alone towards the altar.

And at the age of 2, you can’t expect much yet. That’s why he is our adorable little Bible Bearer.

Moving

I remember my friend moved from one place to the other. And to think of how hassle it would be for all the family to pack all the things. Makes sure that it is all sealed up in order to protect things and furniture from breaking. I could still remember how hassle it was for her and her job too. Good thing that after days and days of packing all their stuff. They finally find a moving truck that would secure them that all their things will never be harm from the travel.

I even asked her how much moving cost and she mentioned that it is worth it. For the reason that all their stuff were unharmed when they finally reach their new place. Looking for new furnitures for home

Since last year, our second floor needs to be renovated so that we can find a tenant to live. But since the winter is coming, everything was stop until recently. Also we keep going to different stores just to keep an eye of the specific furniture we need to add for upstairs and we could not find one yet. Definitely Exhausted

Since I started to work at NAMG company, I was super exhausted every time I got home from work. It feels like all my energy was consumed and nothing left for me. I do noticed that because, once I hit the sack? I immediately fall asleep. Poor husband, couldn't even cuddle and snuggle with him for at least minutes.

Not really sure why, but I'm trying my best to stay awake. It is just that when you start working, your energy is way too drained than before when you were just at home and doing nothing.

He’s the Ring Bearer

The first time he walked on the aisle was him being the Ring Bearer. I mentioned about my brother’s wedding last February 14, 2009. Nice date huh, the Hearts Day. So, while during the practice they make sure the he’ll walk on the aisle by himself. They [my brother and SIL] were confident enough about him to walk alone. The funny thing was, he never did, maybe because kids tend to shy when they see so many people in the place/church. So, to make the story short, it ended up that my SIL walked with him down the aisle so that the ceremony will start.

Sometimes, kids got so confident that they think and you think [parents] they can do it by themselves. Hence, we are wrong, sometimes when the time comes, their mood changes and shy, as things gets just messy [not negatively speaking] but, do certain things [just like being a Ring Bearer] together with the parents. Not to mention, Harvey is only 3-4 yrs old.

My Lavander LiLy...

I just loved Spring, Summer and Fall seasons for the reason that I can see different wonders of nature. Like the flowers are blooming, I can see green grass on the ground everything is just alive. Unlike Winter, everything is totally dead, hehehehe.. And now, I am enjoying these 3 Seasons before the next Winter comes I just don't like the super duper cold of the entire place.

I was so happy when I found these food at Walmart Store one night while we did our grocery. And immediately, I put it in the cart and brought this little fella with me. I really do like mangoes, dried mangoes and proud that at least some of the Philippines product were at the foreign stores.

My husband don't like mango at all, even if you gave him the sweetest mango fruit it's not his thing. So I ate this dried mango by myself. I can't wait to buy more and share it to my other in-laws who haven't tried this before.

This is my currently new bought Toy, DS Nintendo the latest version. This is also what I bought for the first paycheck I ever received. What's in your Recipe?

Recently, I am kinda busy when it comes to listing down all the foods that we need to buy for us within two weeks. I have to make sure that I won't be able to forget a single item or food that way, in order for both of me and my husband not to waste time and gas to go back to the store. From the food to the need things for the house that's what I have put in my long list.

And when me and my husband is in the store, we both rather to buy bulk purchasing because that helps us save more. That is also one good advantage for the reason that buying in a bulk way gives you a lot of that item to keep than just buying little by little.

So, while strolling and looking for some foods and home products, I was thinking of buying a Whey Protein for my husband. I want him to put this whey protein in his food hoping to help him gain more weight. A friend of mine, give a piece of advice regarding the whey protein, I told my husband about it although my husband insisted that he already tried whey protein before but still didn't helped him gain more weight.

Hopefully this time it will work out for him.

This is one of my Favorite chocolate aside from the M&M Peanut, I love eating this and I won't get tired of eating this, except that I have to control myself for I don't want to get sick in the end. When my hubby bought me these yummy chocolcate, I go gaga over this and I could not even wait to eat the next piece on the next day. Usually after he bought this, on the next day its all empty. Lol!

Needs to Finish his Garage Roofing

Last year, my husband started to fixed his garage roofing in order to fix the big whole on the roof. But it didn't finished for winter comes and he was as well super busy at work, every time he came home from work, there is only 2 hours chance for him to finish his roof. It gets dark and it is also hard for him to see everything especially when it is dark outside even if there is an electric light, one thing as well is the cold weather after the dark. He never got the chance to finish everything, so the garage roof is still not accomplish.

Not only that roofing is one of our project for the garage but to make sure that we be able to fix and paint the whole place. Recently, I have been hearing from a friend that she is in need of a 5.11 Tactical Pants, not because she is in the Police Academy but for her airsoft hobby. I’m talking about my whole family. Last February 14, 2009 was my brother’s wedding. Yup, a nice date and a perfect celebration for love. My family once again were gathered because of the said occasion, unfortunately I was the only one who couldn’t make it.

Blame it to my papers, for I couldn’t go home. I have the money but I might deal with a very complicated situation in the immigration once I’ll pursue.

I’m sad knowing that my whole family was there. I couldn’t stop crying for I know I miss one of the most important events of my brother’s life. His Big Day. His Wedding.

Good thing, they understood. Hence, I couldn’t still forget a very special day.

I am currently looking for more office blouses since I started my job last month. I want to at least have enough business or formal clothes to wear as what the company requires. A decent nice clothes gives me the hard time especially when I visit malls for I can only see similar and clothes that have too many copies. Just arrived from Park 60 Drive-in Theater

Yes my friend, the famous Drive-in Theater is once again open for viewers. As the early spring they opened up and once again showed wonderful movies that you could pay double in Cinema. Me and Hubby went there for watched the move Up and The night of the Museum II. It was hilarious, the $14.00 fee is worth it and comfortable because you are inside your own car.

Good thing it's my day off this Friday and Saturday that's why we have the chance to watched the movies.

Do you know the new popular Cartoon in Cartoon Network? If not, I’ll give you one of them. Ben 10, sounds familiar? Yup, I assumed you guess it. That is one of my nephew’s favorite cartoon series in Cartoon Network. Before I left Philippines, until now and I can see that Ben Tenesse [the HERO] who has 10 alien characters thru his Watch now evolves and become teenager lately. Not only that, Ben has also more than 10 alien characters into his watch now. If you follow the series certainly you’ll know what I’m talking about. If not, try watching BEN 10 in Cartoon Network.

So, back to my nephew, I could still remember he wouldn’t miss a single show in Cartoon Network when it comes into Ben 10. It was funny because he imitates or a 3-4 year old child certainly will create his own world.

It was just funny, because one day his mother bought him some WATCH that really cost a lot. And I mean a lot for his birthday. And when we observed him, his totally have his own world.

It’s just amazing that a kid sometimes creates their own world in order to imitate to become a hero or do something that attracts them most. Of course, a parent’s guidance should always be present. So they won’t be going into a wrong path.

I have been planning to send a gift for my father on the incoming Father's Day Celebration. Since, I am too far away to be with him and the rest of my family. I guess sending out a gift for him would be one great idea. But, I don't have any idea for now, this is one of my greatest fear, finding a gift for a Man. Fried Tuna with Egg

One of the favorite seafood that I love to eat is TUNA FISH. When I moved here, I brought with me a box of Tuna Can from the Philippines and without any hindrance in the custom department. I went through the whole flight until I brought all 24 pcs. Tuna cans here in New York. I am glad I did that why? Because tuna cans here is way too expensive. Pretty Mic on her Barbie Car

My niece Mic on her Barbie Car driving around in a spacious front area of the house. She loved to drove around on her Car and even invited me to try but there is only certain weight capacity for the car. So I am exempted instead end up taking pictures of her while there.

Jeff's Unicycle

That's right! I am exposing here how my Hubby did a great job to show to his family and friends that he can ride on his Unicycle. This happens last Memorial Day, when we invited his whole family and some friends for an outside cook out. Since everyone is there, and an early celebration for his birthday he pulled out his unicycle that he didn't use for a long time at the basement. Everyone is excited to see how he can do it, after many times of attempt, he finally rode on his Unicycle.

Hard and kinda scary but in the end he finally made it.

Services from Direct TV

Awhile ago, I was talking to my husband while we were having our breakfast together regarding Direct TV Services. He mentioned before that he loved the services and great package deal on Direct TV. Since he moved into our own house, he was not be able to subscribe from Direct TV for the reason that the satellite signal is block with our huge tree at the back.

While I was looking at the packet from Directv System, I was amazed of the cheap, great features they have to be one of the subscribers. I showed it to my husband and was also got interested to transfer from our old cable company to Direct TV. Summer and it is Mosquito again

Since mosquito don't survive in the cold winter I don't see any of the pesky mosquito in the place lately, not until Summer. I remember when I got here first and that was summer, I never thought that this county where I am living now don't have an existing mosquito and I was wrong!

Me and my hubby visited his best buddies house one Summer afternoon, and while sitting outside I suddenly feel an itchy part of my leg. And I do know if I am bitten by a mosquito because it will create a bulk and it is really itchy. Then, a big mosquito passed by flying in front of me. That was really a shocking feeling because in my country before our mosquito were super little that you won't be able to see unless you'll really take a good look at it. And here, it was super big!

Now, I have an idea on what to give to my hubby's friend on his birthday, a mosquito traps, he surely needed it especially now that he got two kids in the house and loves to play outside. Hope that will really help him out on trapping those pesky mosquito.

I was finally approved

After months and months of renovating and making sure that these blog will be qualified for the submission in the famous paid post. Today is my lucky day, I didn't noticed that these blog was finally got the approval from the website and now it is starting to gain extra income from the website.

Making sure that I'll pass the qualification, it took me months and months and got so many rejected but never gives up. Hubby gets a Hummingbird Feeder for his birthday...

That is right! My hubby's birthday was last month of May, we celebrated it during our Memorial Day since it is a Holiday and everyone has no work. We have a barbeque outside the house and since we also have a wonderful weather that time we makes sure that we enjoyed the food, weather and my hubby's birthday advance celebration.

Our neighbor have put a hummingbird feeder at their backyard and from where we are I could see and listen to the hummingbird passed by and eat from the feeder that was in their backyard. And I love the hummingbird feeder it is because it gives attraction to the bird because of the free food they get. So, while my mother in law was asking me what to give to my hubby, I shared her one time that my hubby was planning to buy a hummingbird feeder and also put it in our backyard to attract the humming bird and comes into our backyard and get some food.

When my hubby opened his gift for his mother, it was the hummingbird feeder. We are happy for that knowing that this humming birds were only coming in our place once in awhile because they flew from one place to another where they can survive the weather temperature.

I was happy because now, I can see this amazing hummingbirds visits our backyard and get some hummingbird food where we put it.

Reading for A Driver's Manual

Yup, since I am so eager to learn how to drive and get my own driver's license soon. This is the current manual/book I am reading right now. I make sure that I make things easy and not in a rush ways, that way I won't forget and will be able to learn the rules and regulation of being a good driver and a law abiding citizen. This isn't like Philippines that you can get a driver's license even if you don't undergo the test and the actual driving test. That's why I have to make sure that once I applied for the driver's license, I have enough knowledge in cars and on the traffic rules.

A great deal for paint...

Summer is finally in the air, and during that time me and my hubby plans a lot on this season. This is why where we plan to plant flowers, fix the garage, fix our second floor, as well as painting the outside and inside of the house. The reason why, he make all this plan right now, it is because I am here to give him a hand to do the painting, since I don't have the ability to fix and nail wood. Keeping the house look great is a hassle but after all the effort that we give to it, it is worth it and the appreciation for it floods once the family and friends see how nice and good looking your house is. Sacrifices makes everything possible.

Moreover, me and my hubby were sharing on what paint should be painted inside our house. The unique the better, that way it will be last and it will be comfortable not only for ourselves as well as for our friends. I am not much about painting quality, although I search online and came up with the Arvada Painting, it was a nice website where you definitely find a lot of paint stocks to choose from. I gave the website to my hubby and was determined to buy the desire paint from the website. He was thankful for my idea, to check from the website that way, he won't be spending too much time roaming around from store to another store just to find a great paint.
